Title: Ten Rules that Govern Behavior for Family Members

Time: 2 Hours

Intended Audience: For Family Members – Birth through High School

Short Description:

·      There are ten precepts that govern behavior. Unfortunately, they were not listed in the baby books we bought prior to bringing our children home for the first time. Dr. Riffel will share the ten precepts and things you can proactively do to help mitigate the behaviors that we all have dealt with including: tantrums, meltdowns, non-compliance, and why behaviors are sometimes specific to different locations.

Long Description:

·      The ten rules or precepts are fairly simple, but when you are a busy leader of the family it is hard to react in a proactive way while you are working, trying to get the food on the table, get homework done, and get the children to bed on time.

·      Dr. Riffel will share the things that govern behavior and help family members see the functions behind the behaviors. She will share tips she used with her own children and tips she shares with countless family members through seminars and emails.

·      All of the strategies shared are evidence-based strategies.
