Dr. Riffel's Plan of Action

You will fill out an intake form and share the specific behavior you wish to target for change, the baseline information about the student(s), and what interventions you have currently implemented. Filling out an intake form does not obligate you to use the services.

Dr. Riffel will contact you and discuss how you would like to proceed to be successful in your behavioral interventions.

Once this occurs, she will approve the coaching session and she will share ideas and help you or your team proactively build a behavior intervention plan that focuses on:

Revising the Environment to help students be successful. There are a myriad of simple strategies that can make a huge impact on student behavior.

Replacing the Behavior by teaching a competing behavior to the target behavior. This may be completed in a variety of ways.

Reframing the Response so we feed the replacement behavior with the function of the targeted behavior.

Some schools have chosen to meet every month, and those teachers who have questions log on at a time that works in their schedule. Other schools have chosen to contact us for each situation as it occurs. Dr. Riffel also meets with universal behavior support teams and helps with implementation with fidelity and consistency.
